QUESTION: Does the ride offer refunds or defer entries to future years?
ANSWER: No. Due to the need to order materials in advance and meet our financial commitment to our charity partner, the ride does not offer refunds or defer entries to future years under any circumstances.
QUESTION: Can I transfer my registration?
ANSWER: No. Attendees are not able to transfer registration from one individual to another.
QUESTION: Does my child need to register?
ANSWER: If your child is 17 years or younger, they ride for free, however, you will need to register them for $40 online under the additional fee tab. This will provide them with a goodie bag and post-meal.
QUESTION: Do I need to select a ride distance and stick with it?
ANSWER: No. You can decide the day of on what distance you would like to go. You can even change your mind during the event. This is a one-day ride, not a race, so your start time, finish time, and distance are completely up to you.
QUESTION: What time do I need to start?
ANSWER: You can start any time between 6:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. To reduce congestion on the roads and afford flexibility to the participants, there is no “mass start” to this event. We do encourage you to plan according to your anticipated pace and your target finish time. All riders should finish by 2:00 p.m. since the post-ride dinner ends at 3:00 p.m.
QUESTION: What happens if it rains?
ANSWER: The ride will take place rain or shine.
QUESTION: Do I need a road bike to participate?
ANSWER: No. You may ride on any style of bike you choose (electric is acceptable). The entire course is on pavement/gravel like roads, so road bikes and hybrids are the typical styles of bikes used by participants.
QUESTION: Are recumbent bikes, electric bikes, tandem bikes, Burley, and pull-behind trailers acceptable?
ANSWER: Yes. Regarding child trailers, make sure they are also wearing helmets (if applicable), and only the rider pulling the trailer needs to be registered.
QUESTION: Are finisher results posted to the website?
ANSWER: No. This is a ride, not a race. Racing is discouraged, and there are no official results based on finish time.
QUESTION: When can I pick up my packet?
ANSWER: You may pick up your packet on Friday, 9:00 am-4:00 pm at the Green Lake Chamber office at 550 Mill St., or on the day of between 6:30 am and 8:50 am at Deacon Mills Park.
